The RX-5000 TBR/W is the rangefinder for modern rifle and bow hunters. With ranging capability past 5,000 yards, this optic ensures precise shots every time. At the heart of it all is the Leupold Control App, which connects to your rangefinder via Bluetooth and puts full command of your ballistic solutions, GPS pinning, and device settings in the palm of your hand.

The RX-5000 TBR/W now runs HORNADY 4DOF and Precision Cut Archery, two of the most accurate ballistic solutions available for shooters and archers. Both are delivered through a firmware update, free to current and new RX-5000 owners. Just connect your device to the Leupold Control App via Bluetooth and visit the Alerts tab to update and get the most out of your RX-5000.

For rifle hunters, the RX-5000 offers three ballistic modes. CDS Mode uses our TBR/W technology and works seamlessly with Custom Dial System compatible scopes — choose from 25 ballistic groups and range, dial, and shoot. Line of Sight (LOS) mode gives you the straight-line distance to target without factoring in angle or ballistics. And Hornady 4DOF uses your specific rifle and ammo data to deliver precise calculations based on distance, angle, and environmental conditions set through the Control App.

For bowhunters, the RX-5000 offers three modes as well. TRIG is the default setting, delivering accurate ranges even at extreme angles. Line of Sight (LOS) mode provides straight-line distance without angle compensation. And Precision Cut Archery (PCA) goes further, using data from the Control App — arrow velocity, arrow weight, peep height, and environmental conditions — to deliver advanced shoot-to distances that match your sight tape at any elevation, no guesswork required.

Beyond ballistics, the RX-5000 features our innovative Pinning Technology, letting you range and mark waypoints on digital mapping systems like onX Hunt. With pinning accuracy to within 2 degrees you can confidently mark animals, recovery spots, glassing points, camps, or boundaries. Simply range, pin, and navigate.

Leupold outfitted this rangefinder with best-in-class 8x magnification and a crisp OLED display built for easy reads in any condition. Mounted on a tripod in Long Range mode, the RX-5000 reaches distances past 5,000 yards, ranges trees out to 3,000 yards, and picks up deer-sized game out to 2,000 yards — all housed in a fully waterproof build. So whether you're shooting at the range or hunting the rugged coastline of Alaska, the RX-5000 TBR/W will keep you firmly in control.

Features:

• Pinning: With Pinning, in conjunction with the Leupold Control App, you can remotely place GPS waypoints on digital maps like onX Hunt. Use it to mark property boundaries, navigate through harsh terrain, and easily track and recover downed animals.
• Precision Cut Archery Software: Uses arrow weight, velocity, peep height, and atmospheric data for highly accurate bow ballistics.
• Hornady 4DOF Ballistic Calculator: Calculates your bullet’s true flight path using real bullet data, delivering one of the most accurate and dependable trajectory solutions available.
• Control App Compatible: Connect to the Leupold Control App via Bluetooth to drop waypoints, adjust settings, or remotely control your rangefinder.
• Long Range (LONG) Mode: Long Range Mode boosts the rangefinder's power by gathering laser pulses over several seconds, allowing you to range over 5,000 yards on trees and deer-sized game. That measures out to be almost three miles. But to really see this kind of performance, you'll need to stabilize the optic using a tripod and the provided mount. It's also important to note that this mode only displays line-of-sight readings, meaning inclines and declines aren't factored in.
• Line of Sight (LOS) Mode: Line of Sight (LOS) calculates the distance to a target in a straight line, regardless of any incline or decline.
• Bow Mode: With its TRIG function, Bow Mode is an excellent “set it and forget it” feature that is simple to use and accurate out to around 70 yards and for angles less than 20 degrees. This function is ideal for Western spot-and-stalk hunters and tree-stand hunters, providing 10-ring target level accuracy.
• TBR-W: True Ballistic Range / Wind (TBR/W) technology provides ballistically calculated ranges for extremely accurate shots at longer distances and steeper angles. It can also generate a hold value for a 10-mph wind at a 90-degree angle out to 800 yards.
• Last Target: Last Target guarantees that the rangefinder identifies the most distant target along the laser's trajectory, preventing inaccuracies caused by adverse weather conditions like rain, snow, or fog.
• OLED: OLED displays use bright red characters and have adjustable brightness setting. This display technology also enables best in class light transmission for use in low light conditions.
• Selectable Reticles: Offers a variety of reticles to choose from to fit any use or preference.
• Tripod Saddle: The RX-5000 TBR/W’s saddle mount is compatible with the Arca-Swiss system and offers enhanced stability when ranging over longer distances.
• Waterproof and Fogproof: Leupold pioneered modern waterproof and fogproof technology using advanced internal gasses and sealing methods that withstand extreme temperatures and elevation changes, so the internals of the optics stay moisture free and crystal clear for life.
