We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team as an Accounting Clerk.

We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team as an Accounting Clerk. In this role, you will be providing a variety of accounting functions and will be the primary accounting contact for all external & internal communications. Daily responsibilities will include coding invoices, matching them to packing slips, paying invoices, and reconciling daily sales. Additional responsibilities will be determine based on the individuals personal skill set.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately review, code and input vendor invoices
  • Reconcile and process all credit card statements
  • Process cheque requests and expense reports as needed
  • Process all vendor payments on a weekly basis. This includes cheques, EFTs & wire payments
  • Reconcile all daily sales
  • Prepare weekly bank deposits
  • Maintain vendor list to ensure reflects accurate and current information
  • Reconcile vendor accounts monthly
  • Address and respond all invoice discrepancies, vendor inquires or any additional issues which may arise
  • Track and follow-up on all outstanding credits
  • Answer phones, process all filing

Education & Experience

  • 1-3 years accounts payable or general bookkeeping experience
  • 1-3 years in an office setting
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite
  • Knowledge and experience with QuickBooks considered an asset
  • vendor management: 1 year (preferred)
  • Accounts payable: 1 year (preferred)

Schedule: Day shift, Monday to Friday

Work Location: In person

Wage Range: $18.00-$21.00 per hour

We are looking for a buyer-in-training with an adventurous spirit to join our team. As a buyer in training, you will work closely with the leadership and sales team to develop your knowledge of the product, service, and brand. You will learn and grow in this role and be responsible to help manage vendor and brand selection, develop strong vendor relationships, and monitoring industry trends. 
 
As the buyer in training, you will: 
  • Research new brands, products, and purchase for a defined area of the store including opportunity buys (closeouts, end of season sales)
  • Work with vendors to obtain discounts, negotiate cost and terms, co-op, and prizing
  • Collaborate with floor manager to plan and execute merchandise displays and product placement 
  • Attend buying meeting and market shows 
  • Inform managers and staff about new products, promotions
  • Communicate new product, promotion, deadlines and ship dates with managers, warehouse, and staff
  • Provide product knowledge and information to staff on new products 
  • Complete fill-in orders and special orders- must follow up with suppliers and consumers.
  • Analyze reports to see how the department and specific products are performing
  • Assisting with the website, including putting items on the site, altering pricing, altering content and/or imagery

  • Excellent people skills, a collaborative team-player who is willing to assume a variety of tasks
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Ability to analyze buying patterns, look for trends and manage stock levels.
  • Ability to train others on new products and keep them informed of product availability.
  • Valid Driver’s License and use of own transportation

Wage Range: $22-$26/hr
