The handbook was designed as a conservation tool to learn about local turtle species and engage the public in community science and turtle stewardship.

The handbook is 44 pages, 5.5 x 8.5" in size and printed on durable waterproof paper in a spiral binding, so it's great for use in the field, in the classroom, or at home. It contains a unique keying guide, species profile pages that point out ID features, and comparisons of similar species to help the reader identify local turtles. It is user friendly for a range of audiences including families, students, aspiring naturalists, personnel working in the field, and turtle lovers of all ages!
