The fit is close to the hand and the glove's details are designed for long life. For example, the palm has a nubuck grip surface and the fingertips are also reinforced. The seam in the thumb grip - which is normally exposed to heavy wear - is placed closer to the top of the hand to reduce friction. The latter also minimizes the risk of chafing during long sessions with rakes, pruners, shovels and other garden tools.
