The 2L dirty reservoir is light and compact and will hold up to the rugged demands of a months-long thru-hike. Its wide-mouth opening and fill handle keep your hands dry and allow you to quickly fill it so you can keep moving. Like its predecessor, the dirty side I/O (inner/outer) threads attach to the QuickDraw reservoir as well as to standard narrow-mouth bottles like smartwater and other Platy bottles. On the clean side, select between the DrinkCap for drinking and pouring and the ConnectCap that screws onto narrow-mouth bottles and has a hose attachment point. The short hose is fitted with a quick connector that pairs with any hydration reservoir with a quick disconnect, allowing you to quickly squeeze your water directly into your reservoir without taking it out of your pack. Two cleaning methods—shake-to-clean and backflushing—keep the filter flowing fast throughout your trip, while the Integrity Check process allows you to ensure it’s still safely filtering water.
