The big brother to the Catalina 12.6, the Catalina 14.0 shares many of the same design characteristics of the 12.6.  The 14.0 is also designed to handle various conditions, from flat water to open ocean swell, and is suitable for all levels of ability from beginner to advanced. The Catalina 14.0 is the ideal board for larger paddlers over 250 lbs with its big volume and stability. Multiple tie down points open up a world of possibilities for day tripping and multi-day expeditions along with threaded mounting plates for mounting a variety of attachments including fishing rod holders, cup holders and navigational lighting. An integrated GoPro mount is included at the nose of each board. Blu Wave's new Timber Tech Construction, with paulownia wood veneers, provide superior durability in conjunction with Blu Wave carbon fibre reinforced standing area and Kevlar reinforced rails and edges.  In a move towards more sustainable construction methods we are using paulownia wood in the construction. Paulownia is one of the worlds fastest growing timbers, and has ideal weight to strength properties.
Shapers Notes: Moderate rocker in the nose and tail provides lift and glide even in choppy conditions. Wide tail profile and generous max width provides ample stability. Suited to beginners up to 270 lbs / advanced up to 300 lbs.
